  1. The priest in this video returned to his duties today: https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2019/03/29/montreal-priest-stabbed-one-week-ago-returns-to-church-presides-over-mass.html

  2. Ridiculous and antithetical to the religion for clergy to carry firearms. I wonder how people would feel if the attacker was trying to get vengance for having been abused by the priest as a child….

  3. When John talked about the priest getting to work and dominating I couldn't help but laugh imaging the good Father kicking some ass

  4. LMAO so if no one is going to come and save you, what is the fucking purpose of the mass??? then the mass is bullshit and your god is a fat lier. who comes to mass on Sunday loaded with a gun for proection. lol. Catholics HAVE NO FAITH IN GOD. John Correia already said it in his own words……..No one is coming to save you. 👍

  5. Another prime example of why we need to be allowed concealed carry in Canada!!! This could've got way worse! Also to my fellow Canadians, until that great day that we can conceal carry a side arm, please pack a blade and get some martial arts training. You never know when you might have to defend your life or the lives of others. It is totally legal to open carry knives in Canada. Also there is no blade length limit that's a myth (in B.C. anyway). Please do the research and read the federal laws and your provincial and municipal laws too. It's legal in my province and town so I open carry a 5in s&w tactical tanto and next paycheck i'll be adding a 10in kabar tanto to the other hip. I'm also going to start krav maga training in june to get more skills and mat time. Love you all and GOD bless.

  6. If I were the priest I would have administered communion to the perp the hard way and apply the ‘five fold ministry’ too to bestow an additional blessing.😂😇

  7. Could it be that catholic priests molest children?? Geez do you think that might be why???

  8. I AM an Elder in my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I ankle carry at every service, along with about 25% of my local rural Idaho congregation, which includes much of our clergy since we have a lay ministry. It is not uncommon to have several LEAs serving as the bishop or in another leadership capacity at the pulpit, as well as mingled throughout the congregation throughout the world. This includes anyone from a county deputy or local PD to the FBI, CIA, Secret Service… All levels of LE have served as bishops of local and regional congregations and you'll find them in the congregations all across the country. Since us "Mormons", our more common nickname of the church, are highly Conservative and feel strongly about the Bill of Rights, and even though the Church doesn't ENCOURAGE carrying during worship, it also doesn't discourage it. So if you want to visit a global Christian denomination that will likely have more than one person cocked, locked, and ready to rock, Doc, we aren't a bad choice. 🙂

I'm glad this priest was ok but I'm pretty sure that those robes aren't bulletproof. I don't know what the Catholic policy is on CC at mass but bad people can show up anywhere so I hope the Pope understands. Thanks for the video and all of the good messages you bring us, John.

  9. It would be frowned upon, but this would have turned out much differently at my church. My pastor is not only my pastor, he's my brother and my pal. Several of us would have stormed the altar and taken this man down. Again, it would be frowned upon. But Peter cut a guards ear off protecting his pal.

  10. Hi John, just wanted to thank you for uploading these videos and the commentary. I cannot tell you how much my situational awareness has improved and how much I have learnt from these lessons. I was involved in a arm robbery inside my house in 2006 my wife was pregnant with my son and I was hit in the upper thigh as I grabbed the perp's firearm the bullet went down my leg hit the Fem Artery and came out the back of my kneecap. I almost lost my life the surgeon called it a miracle that I survived as it took over an hour to get to ER. Now that I have seen your videos and think back the outcome may have been different if I had practiced my empty hand skills as I was not able to draw my firearm because I already had a gun pointed at me. Sorry for the long comment and any grammar mistakes, I just want to say THANK YOU..

  11. I conceal carry at my Catholic church. Have done so since the anti-Catholic nuts started getting crazy. We did have an incident, about 5 years ago, where a guy came up to the priest during an on-going Mass, but was not armed, just basically stood on the main platform talking to the congregation as the priest continued cautiously about 20' away… two off-duty officers approach the subject from two directions, each grabbing an arm, and just escorted him out. Turned out to be just a young man off his meds… As a former EMT, I carry a 'rescue' kit in my car trunk — and almost always carry my weapon ON me at all times especially when I travel on vacations, even while attending Mass at other Catholic churches. You never know. Glad the priest wasn't injured further.

  12. I did not see you talking about the terrorist incident in New Zealand. I hope you will not be white racists.

  13. I dont know if the pastor carries, but I know that all 6 security team personnel does. Our security team is armed, with 4 spread out in the crowd, 2 in the halls and entry way. All have radio comms, with ear pieces. We also have at least 1 EMT, Medic, or Rn with comms, and a trauma bag to respond to medical emergencies.

  14. My father is a pastor, I have a concealed carry permit as do several other church members. We have received training and are in process of putting together a formal security team. I always carry in church and position myself in a strategic area so I can view areas of concern.

  15. Yes. Our church has started keeping at least 1 armed person in front of the church and 1 inside armed. Desceetly of course. I also carry at church with a compact 9mm and I'm betting others in my church carry. I live in Texas

  16. I go to a church where almost every man over 21 are concealed carriers! No way he would’ve made it to the police. There’s enough trained fire power in our church to take down a group of guys like this!

  17. This is not the first time these two men have met. That young man has been violated in his youth by one in the priesthood. This didn’t come from out of nowhere like it appears. Rage built up from years of feeling violated by one of the robe swishers motivated this attack.

As an aside….. have you read this admonition from Jesus regarding calling men “father”…I’m following Jesus lead on this…

Matthew 23:9 And don't address anyone here on earth as 'Father,' for only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.

  18. Carry every Sunday as pastor; one other guy carries, sitting at the back, near the entry point. I used to sit on the front row before going up to preach. Then I attended a Sheepdog Seminar and moved up on the stage where I can observe what is going on and also see our main entry point. We lock our side entry door after the offering is received. Still working on other plans. Thanks for your "ministry" for self protection with the reminder that LE is some time off from arrival and we are a rural church.

  19. Congratulations New Zealand, now you can't defend yourselfs either just like the people on this video with the gun laws you just passed

  20. At this point 69 people hit dislike what's to dislike about this video it's another good breakdown the sad thing is that the priest was attacked at all

  21. Yesterday at church, someone who has only been coming for a couple weeks commented that her boyfriend noticed someone with a pistol when he visited with her last Sunday… my best friends and I chuckled and commented that he only noticed one? Pastor and assistant pastor (and his wife) all carry, plus several others, including myself and a few of my brothers.

  22. Hello John I always enjoy your videos and I care appreciate you being a pastor knowing a little bit about church security do you offer any training for church members and what you ever come to California for training

  23. I carry in church. I am responsible for the safety of myself and my family. I can’t and won’t depend on someone else to do that.

  24. Thanks John for the video. My son in Tasmania Australia is an acolyte at the Cathedral and serves on the Alter every week. This is good training for him in awareness and self protection. Anthony

  25. We have 2 Police Officers present during Church each service. I feel safe as several of us are armed as well.

  26. People are such literal sheep. No one does anything to stop the perp, they just keep distance and dance around him. If he wanted to he could have killed anyone he felt like.

  27. about 20% of our congregation are carrying (legally). this attacker would be swiss cheese. biggest problem for the rest of us would be not to get caught in the crossfire.

  28. Our church does allow is to carry as long as the elders and pastors approve it. We have 2 security members on every Sunday in rotation. They're are 8 of us on rotation, several being current/former law enforcement. So working with them I learn a substantial amount. Very thankful for my team members and church members. So I also empathize for areas that do not allow concealed carry and my prayers go out to them. Stay frosty and safe everyone. God bless all of you and for you as well John for always bring us new videos to learn from.

  29. Glad the priest is ok.
Here in GA my GCL isn't good inside a church unless the priest says it is okay. As far as I am aware none of the local churches are good with anyone other than a cop carrying, so I no longer attend.

  30. Why i always carry even in church. One time a guy interrupted a service i was attending and was acting weird like this guy. The pastor talked him down an he left but it was sure glad to feel the but of my glock in my hand knowing i could shoot him if he reached for anything to harm the pastor. Be prepared people!

  31. Yes my church does like you I am part of a security for the church family and friends.
John, today was a day that what you speak teach and encourage became very real in my life. I’m commenting right now so I’m a good student and God protects me. I’m blessed I believe and I Stand and Deliver.
    God Bless You John

  32. Our Episcopal Diocese required all congregations go over an active shooter protocol. We went over "Run Hide Fight" and how to barricade the sanctuary doors if need be at our church's annual meeting.

  33. Most Catholic dioceses do not tolerate bringing weapons into the church – even when and where the law would normally allow it. And the Priests, during Mass I can fairly confidently say never carry during Mass. I still CCW when I go to Mass – but it stays concealed because it's nobody's business. When it comes to protecting innocent life, God forbid, my conscience will be clean I assure you.

  34. If is was stated somewhere the church had a security team then you need to realize its not "security" like you might think there. 95% of Canadian church "security teams" are just congregants with no training who make sure the church his locked up and help with parking. and the 5% that maybe are trained teams don't carry guns. Guns scare my fellow Canadians. Oh Canada where the bad guy gets the first chance at attack pretty much by law.

  35. Catholic priests take a vow of pacifism along with celibacy. They are not allowed to defend themselves or they risk losing their priesthood.

  36. As a catholic i’ll tell you, Catholic Churches don’t have security, and i’ve never known a priest to carry a gun, let alone at Mass.

  37. I know the pastor at our church carries. I’m the pastor 😎…the way many of the parishioners came in between the perp and the priest was pretty bold all things considered.

  38. In my church, this guy would have made about 2 steps with his brandished weapon before he gained a few thousand grains from several contributors.

  39. Psalm 91 would have been a more appropriate reading for the day:

Psalm 91 King James Version (KJV)

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

  40. I certainly agree with you John that there should be some kind of armed security at places of worship. Several mosques in Raleigh, NC have local police officers on guard for most of the day. Of course, this action was prompted, not by preparedness, but by threats some of the mosques were receiving.

  41. I'm With you John. Fill the fucker in. But up here in Canada, we protect violent offenders. That's why there are so many re-offenders up. Now if some if them met their demise at the hands of their victims, that might change. I think it's great that you are part of a security team. I think every church and school should have one. If I lived in the US, I would volunteer for that.

  42. I agree with you, things wouldve gone alot differently with different people there, also I thought you are not allowed to have a gun when you are at church

  43. Welp, I guess this priest took one for the thousands of other priests who are child rapists. They should give him a medal.

  44. Our Pastor does not carry, but there are so many of us in the place that do carry, it would not be a good day for the gunman if a bad guy wanted to start shooting people. What I wish we had in place, would be that the congregation should be made aware that many of us are ready to shoot to defend, and so screaming and running will only help the bad guy, who doesn't care who he shoots. I would like everyone who isn't armed, to be trained to just get on the floor, and let those of us who can fight, take it to the bad guy. My family has instructions to take my weapon and fight with it if I can't. Sitting and waiting your turn for slaughter is not an option.

  45. Maybe the priest molested his child isnt that the common practice or allegations of common practice in Catholic churches…its always on the news …the perp must have had a reason…

  46. At my place of worship, at least 5 worshipers would have shot this man if I didn't do it first. If you go to church, make sure you have a safety plan. Form a committee and develop one and share with appropriate people.

  47. Martyrdom is not for everyone! unfortunately Jesus said to turn the cheek when they hit you. That doesn't mean you can't protect yourself as a layperson.

  48. Anyone know why this guy attacked this priest ? Was their a motive behind this or is this guy just fucking crazy ?

  49. I carried when I was an usher. I never asked about policy or if anyone else did. I just did it because that's me.

  50. my pastor doesnt carry but there are several veterans and current military members in my church that do and i feel MUCH safer knowing that they have our backs if anything were to happen.

  51. Most churches don't allow us to be armed.
    It's a gun free zone.
A place criminal love, and have no fear to cause harm.

  52. I am a Pastor, I carry non lethal weapons and have 1st Degree in Taekwondo. I can't carry due to my denomination bylaws, but we do have a security council that watches during services. I do not have an issue with CCW holders in the congregation, I welcome them.

  53. The best target are gun free zones. It’s proven time and time again. That’s what anti 2nd amendment people don’t get.

  54. If there was an Atheist meeting hall in my town, I'd advise everyone to be armed. The Jews aren't the most hated and oppressed people in history – we are. The Abrahamic faiths have waged unending holocausts on non-believers for millennia. The OT says we are "kill on sight" targets, and people WILL do it. History and the news are sufficient evidence.
