Hillsong Worship // Remembrance // New Song Cafe

take the bread of fire broken forum arson the other body cruises to make me home we go put in sacrifice
to try this for your new car mmm ha your promise I want salvation as Christ is your promise my man is this so where this this
hearts reach from the depths as far as East is from the west so far your braces
can read me and see you face-to-face until that last
I want my rights remind me or not finished yet thanks for joining us here at worship
together new song cafe I have the incredible privilege today of
interviewing Ben Hastings and we’re gonna talk about his new song
remembrance hi Ben okay it’s pretty fun to have you and Nathan here today that’s
right so the song is about the cross yeah right yeah so there’s some support
and specifically we kind of wrote it in neuron that idea of communion right and
a song that as a church when we were taking communion we could have a song be
accompanied that moment right and so yet thinking about the cross thinking about
even the the Last Supper leading up to the cross that metaphor that Jesus used
for his his the wine and the bread his flesh yeah I guess so then you mentioned
communion as one application for the song yes but we sing it as well in set
lists on Sundays right yeah do you see it fitting there easily I think it’s
quite an approachable song it’s just a matter of taking it as a worship leader
and using it how you would want to so one of the ways in church we’ve been
doing it is using it as a full song and kind of piecing it somewhere in the
middle of the in the middle of the set right it’s quite a good way to do that
or obviously as a communion item I think it’s just a perfect sort of place for
this song another thing we’ve been doing is in actually just taking the bridge
yeah and inserting that in different points so we find it like it could
actually be a really good way to end a setlist it’s just taking that bridge and
you can spend a bit of time on that and then you can sandwich it with other
bridges like a team not the other way through Majesty on the end of it yes
beautiful yes and you can do a lot of things with it which is quite nice mmm I
love and songs of Estelle it’s beautiful so do you think Nathan could show us a
little bit about what he did I think that’s a great idea so for this song for
the verse I’m just sort of doing bass octaves and then with my right hand I’m
sort of just doing a constant movement that just moves whenever I hit the B so
it’s just gonna sound like this starts on the e so f-sharp minor a
c-sharp minor’ be a back to the e f-sharp minor a c-sharp
minor B and it results in the 1 then it goes to the chorus just block chords 1 2
3 to the a to the E and the B and then it’s just going to do that again so go
back to the a the E to be again and then it’s just gonna go
to the post chorus so it’s gonna go to the a same thing block hordes so to the
B c-sharp minor’ one over three four and then it goes to
minors for those hallelujah tags just kind of drops down same thing block
chord to the B repeats that every time you want to tag that and then out to the
B so then for the bridge in instrumental just kind of does this riff over the
progression which just goes one goes e B c-sharp minor’ a and then it goes EB and
then it walks down to C sharp minor B a so I’ll just play that riff through so
just goes sorry let me sit again so it does for
the bridge it just does this um instrumental riff and it does the same
thing for the bridge and the bridge progression just goes e B c-sharp minor’
a and it goes e B and then it goes C shut minor B a so it walks down so the
riff just goes over that the whole time so it just sounds like this and that’s it that’s every section
thanks for sharing with us today guys great song and I look forward to seeing
it fit in people’s churches in their setlist and into their lives as far as
East is from the west so fire braces can really

  1. That is what it represents and the wine represents his blood which was shed for us and not for us only but for the sins of the whole world.

  2. Been waiting for this!! My fav on the There is More album. Thanks @worshiptogether… But I am a bit disappointed cos you didn't talk much about the inspiration behind the song, what led to getting it together… From Ben's side and from Chris' side. You also didn't go through how to play it on the acoustic guitar.

  3. This is beautiful and I love that we're starting to see piano tutorials, but this angle wasn't very good for showing what his right hand was playing. If it was shot a little farther away, but still somewhat close, it would be more helpful. But I still love how you're featuring the keys now! Keep up the good work!

  4. Excellent lyrics, sung wonderfully, music awesome, song reminding Jesus Christ grace having no limits of heights, depth and direction.Grace upon grace for all..

  5. I wish someone would remove the lyrics that appear like ' subtitles' as they are SO WRONG. I am so shocked that a reputable site such as worship together came up with this. Very poorly done. Why do it if it is not done properly ? Shame! I have posted them below:

    Hillsong Worship
I take the bread of life
    Broken for all my sin
    Your body crucified
    To make me whole again
    I will recall the cup
    Poured out in sacrifice
    To trade this sinner's end
    For Your new covenant
    Hallelujah
I'll live my life in remembrance
    Hallelujah
    Your promise I won't forget
    I'll walk salvation's road
    With fear and trembling
Your way borne as my own
As Christ is formed in me
    Hallelujah
I'll live my life in remembrance
    Hallelujah
    Your promise I won't forget
If ever I should lose my way
If ever I deny Your grace
Remind me of the price You paid
    Hallelujah
    I'll live in remembrance
You've been so, so good to me
You've been so, so good to me
Oh to think where I would be
    If not for You
If not for You (lift you hands)
You've been so, so good to me
You've been so, so good to me
    Oh to…
You've been so, so good to me
You've been so, so good to me
Oh to think where I would be
    If not for You
    If not for You
As far as heights reach from the depths
As far as east is from the west
So far Your grace has carried me
Until I see You face to face
Until at last I've won my race
Remind me You're not finished yet
    Hallelujah

  6. Lord Jesus, You've been so so good to me; I'll live in remembrance of the price You paid for me to be set free, healed & saved.

  7. ❤ eles me ajudaram muito na minha conversão eu lembro até hoje o primeiro louvor que eu ouvir 😢😢.❤

    É benção

"Glorificado Seja o senhor Jesus. "

  8. What a beautiful song! I love to watch you worship. By the grace of God, may all who call on the name of Jesus WORK OUT OUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.

  9. Por favor todo el que vea esto ore por mi hermana Daiana, está muy complicada de salud y necesita de un milagro de Dios!! Por favor!

  10. Metaphor…. in denial…
As he wrote the song he probably realized he wanted to go to a Catholic Mass and receive the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

  11. Is it possible that these ladies are seriously the sound of Angels voices crying out? Theyre funnels of the Holy Spirit in this one.

  12. Quão maravilhoso És Senhor. E Te dispensa de maneira especial a quem no espírito Te busca.
Oh Senhor Jesus! Grupo musical ímpar. Obrigada Senhor.

  13. Stop doing these corny recordings guys! You have been instrumental leading me to God…but this is really becoming retail…so I am starting to avoid you. God is always present in your message and song, but there is a thick line between gaining new followers and isolating old ones. The thin line of every thing Hillsong is awesome though.
